Acquisition supports Unit4's vision for growth through investment in its key verticals and Napta's goal to become Europe's champion for resource management
LONDON and PARIS, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Unit4, a leading provider of enterprise cloud applications for service-centric organisations, has announced it is acquiring Napta, the Paris-based resource management and skills-intelligence platform for professional and business services firms. Napta will continue to operate under its existing leadership, brand and open ecosystem model, serving both existing and new customers including many of the world's leading consulting, audit, IT and engineering firms. The acquisition is aligned with Unit4's growth strategy and its continued focus on serving key verticals, including professional and business services, public services, non-profit, and education, while increased investment in the roadmap and Unit4's global reach will support Napta's ambition to grow rapidly and become the trusted European leader in the resource management category.

Together the companies will cover the full professional services lifecycle helping customers win the right projects, and efficiently staff and run them. Unit4 and Napta already share a number of customers who run the platforms side by side. The combined offering will give customers an integrated view of skills, capacity, projects and financials, backed by Unit4's investment and global reach. For Unit4 customers and prospects, Napta brings best-in-class resource management and skills intelligence alongside Unit4's ERP, FP&A and HCM solutions. Napta is a category leader combining skills intelligence, staffing and capacity planning with AI-assisted matching, which is critical for professional services firms as they rely on placing the right people with the right skills on projects at the right time.
Napta has grown rapidly from its headquarters in France to serve a loyal and growing customer base in 70 countries around the world. Following the acquisition, Napta will continue to be led by co-founder and CEO Arnaud Caldichoury, with all three co-founders remaining with the business. The companies plan to connect Napta's skills and resource capacity data with Unit4's project, financial and people data, so that firms can plan projects and staff them with the right skills, while seeing the financial impact in one connected flow. Additionally, Napta and Unit4 will continue to invest in integrations with all the major ERP, PSA and HCM platforms for customers running any ERP or PSA suite.
"The future of professional services organisations is people-first and skills-based, and Napta is the best in the market at putting the right people on the right work," said Simon Paris, CEO, Unit4. "We have ambitious goals to grow Unit4, and the professional services industry is the largest and fastest growing market among our key verticals making it the logical choice for a strategic acquisition. Today's announcement is a clear signal of intent to provide our customers with best-in-class products that will help them deliver more value to their clients. It is why we are acquiring Napta, as a fast-growing business, loved by its customers, built for exactly the firms we serve, and expanding in the markets where we are focused."
"We built Napta to become the European reference in resource management and skills intelligence, and joining Unit4 is how we get there faster," said Arnaud Caldichoury, co-founder and CEO, Napta. "We chose Unit4 because they share our conviction that professional services is a people business, and because they are committed to investing in what makes Napta successful. For our customers, nothing changes except what gets better: more investment in the product, the same team and the same flexible and customer-oriented approach. Together, we'll keep raising the bar on resource management and skills intelligence and supporting our clients wherever they operate."
Unit4 has laid out ambitious plans to grow the company through deeper penetration of its core verticals in professional and business services organisations, public service, nonprofit, and education, alongside innovation in AI tools and an accelerated migration of customers to its cloud-native ERPx platform. Acquisition is one pillar of Unit4's growth strategy, and Napta's rapid customer growth confirms the opportunity: professional and business services firms want less time spent managing resourcing and more billable, delivered work, improving utilisation and margin before committing budget. Unit4 is confident that as customers see these outcomes, demand for its products and services will follow. Alongside initiatives such as "AI for Your World" which provides customers commitment-free access to Unit4's AI capabilities until August 2027, if customers register by December 31st 2026, Unit4 believes this strategy will stimulate increased demand for its products and services.
