IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Habit is stepping up to the plate with its newest Habit & Co. residency, welcoming Dodgers pitcher Alex Vesia for an eight-week menu inspired by one of baseball's most iconic moments: the double play.
The menu brings that idea to the plate with double freshly chargrilled beef patties, double chargrilled chicken breasts and a shake that doubles down on chocolate. Every item delivers more of what guests love, with Habit’s signature fresh, cooked-to-order quality. The burger and salad are topped with Habit’s new proprietary Strikeout Sauce, a creamy, tangy sauce with a kick from roasted jalapeño, garlic and chili peppers.
Available for a limited time, the lineup includes:
- Double Play Char – A double-patty Charburger featuring two freshly chargrilled beef patties layered with American and White American cheese, fresh avocado, tomato, shredded lettuce, BBQ Sauce and signature Strikeout Sauce on a toasted brioche bun. Packed with 43g of protein.
- Double Play Salad – A protein-forward salad featuring two chargrilled chicken breasts over romaine and green leaf lettuce with hickory-smoked bacon, fresh avocado, crispy onion tanglers, tomatoes, BBQ Sauce, Strikeout Sauce and housemade ranch. Delivers 72g of protein.
- Double Chocolate Shake – A handcrafted, made-to-order chocolate shake blended with brownie pieces throughout and topped with whipped cream and even more brownie pieces for double the chocolate flavor.

The residency marks the second installment of Habit & Co., the brand's chef and creator residency platform that invites standout personalities to bring fresh ideas and new flavors to Habit for a limited time.

Vesia's eight-week residency is the second installment of Habit & Co., following Chef Jet Tila's debut residency earlier this year. The rotating residency series will continue with another featured resident to be announced in the coming months.
