Five Avive Connect AED®s will be deployed along the course to help ensure a faster, more coordinated response to cardiac emergencies

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Avive Solutions, manufacturer of the Avive Connect AED® announced it is the first aid sponsor of the 36th Walk for Life & Famously Hot Pink 10K + 5K, presented by Prisma Health Midlands Foundation. The event will take place Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Columbia, South Carolina.

As part of the sponsorship, Avive will supply five Avive Connect AEDs for the event, helping ensure participants, volunteers, and spectators are protected by connected, ready-to-use emergency technology along the route.

Avive Connect AED®s will be carried along the course by the event's medical volunteers, placing them in the hands of trained professionals who can use them to deliver lifesaving care if needed. About the Walk for Life & Famously Hot Pink 10K + 5K

The Walk for Life and Famously Hot Pink 10K + 5K is Prisma Health Midlands Foundation's signature fundraising event benefiting Prisma Health Breast Centers in the Midlands. The event has a two-fold purpose: to raise awareness about breast cancer and to raise funds for Prisma Health Breast Centers.

On event day, a mammography van will be on-site, and community partners will host informational tables featuring products and services that support breast cancer patients.

Now in its 36th year, the Walk for Life has raised more than $13 million to fund the latest in digital mammography technology and to enhance programs and services for patients and their families. This year's proceeds will fund a new Prisma Health Mobile Mammography Van, fully equipped with a 3-D mammography unit, to further increase access to care for women and men in urban and rural communities throughout the Midlands.
